You may designate how you would like your tax-deductible contribution to support CEDEI:
- Where there is the greatest need
- Your gift will be used for CEDEI's day-to-day expenses, including providing support for students' daily living and learning, outstanding faculty, international and domestic study opportunities, technology and equipment, library enhancements and learning resources--everything that enhances life at CEDEI.
- CEDEI School (day care and elementary school)
- Three years in design, the CEDEI School opened in September 2003 and provides a full-immersion English learning environment for children from 2-6 years of age. This ambitious project, the only of its kind in Cuenca, has been designated a pilot project by Ecuador's Ministry of Education.
- Computer and technology acquisitions
- Financing the purchase of recent technology is one of the most difficult economic challenges for academic institutions in developing countries. Only a few years ago, CEDEI opened the first Pentium-based computer laboratory in Ecuador.
- Library acquisitions
- The cost of library books, magazines and technology have increased dramatically in the past few years. CEDEI continues to make its collection open to the general public in Cuenca and thanks to many generous contributions our collection of marketing and management information is the best in the city.
- Economic scholarship fund
- As part of our social mission, since its founding CEDEI has been dedicated to providing world-class education to all students, regardless of their ability to pay. Nearly half of our Ecuadorian students receive either academic or need-based economic scholarships.
