Homestays

Living with a host family provides one of the best ways for students to practice their Spanish intensively, as well as to learn about Ecuadorian culture and society. Students are included in all family activities, providing integration on a social and cultural level. Host families provide a bedroom, three meals a day and laundry service.
The Office of International Programs arranges homestays for participants in all programs, except where indicated otherwise. Host families are interviewed and attend orientation sessions conducted by the Office of International Programs. Through this process, CEDEI can assure that families host students not only as guests in their homes, but also as new members of the family.
