Entrepreneurship Program The Centro de Estudios Interamericanos, in cooperation with St. Ambrose University and Frostburg State University, recognizing the new challenges of the business world, proposes to form a group of professionals. Their qualities will include, among others, the ability to generate new opportunities. After two years of practical material, graduates will be able to effectively deal with new issues in a competitive world that is becoming more and more globalized. The Program National students form a cohort (ie, a group of students that take all classes together) and will complete the program in two years. Study abroad participants may take a portion of the program's courses as non-degree-seeking students. Courses with Spanish titles are taught in Spanish; for courses with English titles, instruction is in English. FIRST YEAR First Term (October-December)
Second Term (January-March)
Third Term (April-June)
Fourth Term (June-August)
SECOND YEAR Fifth Term (October-December)
Sixth Term (January-March)
Seventh Term (April-June)
Eighth Term (June-August)
Total Credits: 97 Guiding Principles of the Program One credit is equal to 15 to 20 hours of class. The program is designed to emphasize practice over theory, and the curriculum is oriented to reach this objective. A system of placement exams has been established, such that applicants with prior knowledge in one or more subjects will be exempt from attending those courses. Certificate to be Conferred Upon successful completion of the eight terms, including a final project, the student will receive a certificate conferred by the Centro de Estudios Interamericanos. This certificate endorses the student to exercise the functions of Entrepreneur. Scholarships With the end of achieving a high academic level in this new program, CEDEI will furnish assistance to national students with excellent grades and a desire for improvement. In this way, CEDEI is collaborating with society in two ways: providing skills to students, and integrating into society personnel qualified in the area of Entrepreneurship.
