Medical Insurance Coverage

Medical insurance plan is available for all international students at CEDEI. Group coverage may be included for some programs, while for others, students should sign up for voluntary coverage. Should you need medical attention in Ecuador, the bill must be paid on-site. When you return home, you can then submit the receipts to the insurance company for reimbursement.

Program-specific information

Summer Spanish Program in the Andes

Participants in the Summer Spanish Program are covered by Augustana College's Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan. The Basic Plan coverage is included in the program fee; major medical and catastrophic coverages are optional and can be purchased for an additional premium.

All other programs

For all other programs, students may purchase an optional, voluntary plan through HTH Insurance Services.
