This academic advising service is offered at no cost to those students who are interested in and have further questions about programs of study in the United States, the higher education system, and the process of application. This includes guidance on selecting a program, and help with completing application forms, writing admission essays, and preparing the supplementary material that must be included in the application.
For advising, interested students may come to the office at any time during its open hours, or make an appointment in advance.
The EducationUSA office in Cuenca has a reference library with resources to study for the TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT exams, among others. There is no cost to use the library.
The TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language) and IELTS (International English Language Testing System) exams are tools used to evaluate English language proficiency and are requirements for application to many programs of study.
EducationUSA works with the CEDEI Foundation, which offers English classes at all levels and preparation courses for the TOEFL and IELTS exams. These courses have a cost.

The office in Cuenca includes a reference library with information about programs of study and university catalogs; guides, manuals, and books about topics such as financial aid and essay writing; and preparation materials for standardized exams (see above).
There is no cost to use these resources.
We certify translations done by certified translators. The cost is $5 per page.
The center periodically offers workshops on various topics, such as admissions essay writing and how to search for programs of study. Some workshops have a cost.
