The Full Immersion Spanish Program is one of our individual-oriented programs that immerses students in the language and culture while giving them the freedom to involve themselves in the community.
The program includes (per week): stay with a local family, 20 unaccredited hours of one-on-one Spanish instruction, one Andean music class, one Latin dance class, one hour of cooking class per week and one weekend excursion to a site of historical or cultural interest near Cuenca. In order to provide a solid base for learning the language, individuals must enroll in the FISP program for a minimum of two weeks. There is a four week maximum; however if you wish to continue taking classes afterwards, we encourage you to enroll in Spanish Tutorials at CEDEI.
The CEDEI Spanish teachers are professionally trained highly-qualified native speakers who have years of experience teaching Spanish. The first two hours of class focus on grammar, while the second two hours of class focus on conversation, providing a well-rounded and practical base for learning the language. The classes are tailored to meet the student´s individual needs.
