This year's EducationUSA Country Adviser Meeting, will see all of EducationUSA's advisers in Ecuador will join together on November 6 & 7. Also joining this meeting will be representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Quito and the U.S. Consulate in Guayaquil.  

EducationUSA Cuenca and the CEDEI Foundation will be the hosts of this annual meeting. The objective of this summit is to analyze the accomplishments achieved by EducationUSA in 2017 as well as to consider future activities in the promotion of the services offered by the EducationUSA Advising Centers. This network of centers offers various services such as: 

- Educational Advising: This service is offered free of cost to all who have more in-depth questions about programs of study in the states, the higher education system, and the application process.

This includes help in the selection of universities and in completing application documents, writing admissions essays, and preparing all supplemental materials.

- Reference Library: The office features a free reference library with information about programs of study and university catalogues, guides, manuals, books on specific fields of study, such as Finance, and writing personal statement essays. In addition, there are test prep books for exams like the TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, ACT, GRE, and GMAT, among others.

- Workshops: The advising center offers free info sessions open to the public about the educational system in the United States and the process to apply to universities.

Futhermore, the advisers organize outreach visits in educational institutions throughout the country in reference to topics of interest to students and teachers. This service is free of charge.
