Understanding the experience of professionals in the field of education in Ecuador will be an excellent learning opportunity for foreign students in the Fall Education group. They will arrive in Ecuador within the next few days and CEDEI’s Department of International Programs has structured a program with the aim of strengthening their Spanish skills, while also learning teaching strategies through a different cultural approach.

For this enriching experience, the students will be completing practicums in CEDEI School. There, the university students will have the opportunity to support the institution’s national teachers as assistant teachers. This type of educational practicum will allow them to exchange knowledge, new pedagogical strategies, and norms of coexistence inside and outside the classroom, as well as share daily experiences with teachers and students of different cultures.

The Fall Education program is comprised of college students pursuing careers related to the field of education for preschool, primary, and secondary school. This time, students come from two universities in the United States, University of Wiscosin - Whitewater and Iowa State University. During their stay in Ecuador they continue with their university degrees and later will receive credits in their respective schools.

In this way CEDEI’s Department of International Programs promotes cultural exchange throughout the year, receiving groups of students from different parts of the world.
